VolunteeringAt DMCS, we believe parent involvement is one of the key ways to support students. However, we will not be accepting parent volunteers in class for the first 6 weeks of school, as the classes are learning and practicing school rules and procedures. Thank you for understanding!
We would love to have parent help for driving on field trips. You will need to have fingerprinting and a TB test cleared in order to be a driver. I may also ask for assistance with class parties and holiday station activities. Additionally, I may send home some volunteer projects for parents to complete in after school hours; if you are interested in that, let me know! I will explain more about volunteering in Room 12 at Meet and Greet and Back to School Night. |
Twenty Hours of Volunteer Service
We encourage each parent to volunteer for 20 hours each school year. Volunteer hours may be earned by in-class help as well as projects sent home. 20 hours of volunteer service earns your child "Free Dress Fridays."
